China Mobile started construction of new thirdgeneration or 3G base stations in Shanghai in June.1,500 base stations are under construction but China Mobile expects to build 3,000 stations by the end of 2008 andturn Shanghai into a blazing fast, graphic and video-rich mobile computing city.

Be very careful with CHL. The government just restructured the country’s telephone business in favor of China Telecom and China Unicom at CHL’s expense. I don’t trust his picks.
