First loss in 6 years at Panasonic

Panasonic, the world’s largest maker of plasma TVs in the world, reported its first quarterly loss in six years. The problem? Slumping global demand for electronics goods and a strong yen.

Hi Tony, I’m a regular reader of your blog and columns, and find them very fascinating. Concerning Panasonic, the company is kind of slow like others here in Osaka. People have less money in their wallets and live like monks(like myself). It’s like deflation hit Japan again, so I’m busy investing in gold…..
