GM, Ford enjoy strong China sales

Domestic sales for U.S. automakers are deader than a doornail.

GM sales in China rose by almost 13% in the first six months of 2008 andFord sold 21% more cars than the same period last year.

That is because China is putting on roughly 25,000 newcars each and every day on the road.
