There was mention of a grass roots campaign to change the course of government policy regarding the bailouts. I begged my representatives in Washington numerous times not to go through with the bailouts when TARP first passed in the Bush administration. I understand that calls, emails, and faxes to representatives were more than 50:1 against the bailouts and yet the TARP measure passed.
Why do you think a grass roots measure will succeed now when it’s obvious that we have a govt of, by, and for the banks?
