Pretty interesting blog to spend some time on reading it at least as for me. The only question I have, why don't you send this article to social media? It can bring much traffic here.

Are you still advocating U.S. Treasury money market funds, or is that advice from your book "The Ultimate Depression Survival Guide" now out of date? One of your experts is advising to stay away from T-bills. Is there a relatively "safe" fund out there for my retirement investments?

Mr. Weiss,

In chapter 15 of your book The Ultimate Depression Survival Guide you compare "The less likely inflation scenaro" with "The Lesser-of-evils deflation scenarion". It seems all of the actions our government is taking are discussed in the "less likely inflation scenaro". Given the governments actions since you wrote your book do you now feel significant inflation is likely?

A few years back, you sent some booklets and literature. Almost everything you have said has come true. The derivatives exposures of the money center banks did indeed exceed the entire GDP several times over. Greed run amok. The largest part of Tarp seems to have been disbursed to those whose risks were undeniably foolish, money center banks, insurance behemoths, and such. The end recipient in most cases being large builders/developers. In the meantime profitable small businesses pushed to the edge or over it due to lack of credit facilities. Borrow money from the fed at 1/4%, set up bank holding companies for Visa/Master Card/Discover and nail consumers for 29.99 % before the law takes effect. Double your money every 2 years and 3 months.
I have a great admiration for your insights/comments and analysis. The oil price bubbles, real estate bubbles, and bank gambling shenanigans. What's next? Likely more of the same nonsense. Overall, I believe we will remain in a commodities dominated market for several years..
I have one qualm however about anyone seeking safety in Treasuries. If there is a run on the dollar, treasuries would become virtually worthless because the Treasury would just go to the fed and have more money printed. I still remain a fan Dr. Weiss, but I suspect a Brazilian influence in your life may be whispering "invest more in Brazil."

All the best regards,
